Ernesto Naranjo in MBFWM

Collection lines

Southern Spain born designer Ernesto Naranjo established his namesake label in 2014 shortly after winning the Mercedes Benz Fashion Talent during Madrid Fashion Week. He graduated from both BA and Ma Degree at Central Saint Martins, with the support of the Alexander Mcqueen Scholarship he continued his studies and presented his MA collection at London Fashion Week.

Ernesto has worked at Maison Margiela under the direction of its Creative Director John Galliano in both Artisanal and Prêt-à-Porter lines, Balmain and Lane Crawford Hong Kong.

“Family first” is the foundation of every concept chosen for his projects. Community and the characters within it are important for the research and creative process of the collections. The dramatic edge merge with the ironic and the geometry of the shapes. The visual easiness of the garments enriches with the accessories.

Ernesto Naranjo produces all his collections in the south of Spain where everything is hand made by specialized seamstresses and artisans. With the idea of recovering all the craftsmanship and inject all what he has learned during the years working for big Maisons in Paris, he came back to his roots and set up his studio in the southern Spain.

He showed his last two collection in Paris at the Palais de Tokyo during the Haute Couture Week and last January and February he debuted his FW 19 Collection as part of the official calendar of Madrid and London Fashion Week.

Ernesto Naranjo was selected as one of the three finalists of the Who´s on Next Prize 2019 by Vogue Spain.
